Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER still being heard from Island Mere, Purple Heron showing occasionally from Bittern hide & 2 Arctic Tern from the public viewing platform.

Thursday 29th June.

Minsmere - Both the SAVI'S WARBLER and Purple Heron were again noted today + 1st summer Arctic Tern & 12 Spotted Redshank on the reserve. 2 Wood Sand on West scrape this evening.

Alde Estuary - Spoonbill at Hazelwood Marshes + Spot Red & LRP on Town Marshes.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill Hollesley Marsh RSPB.

Bawdsey - Grasshopper Warbler seen at East Lane.

Wednesday 28th June.

Minsmere - The 1st summer Purple Heron remains viewable from Bittern hide today.

Aldeburgh - 3 1st summer Little Gull on Town Marshes.

Tuesday 27th June.

Minsmere - The Purple Heron was again seen from both Bittern & Island Mere hides today + the long-staying SAVI'S WARBLER can be heard from Island Mere.

Monday 26th June.

Lowestoft Area - The male Red-backed Shrike was again present and showing well this morning along Breydon South wall near the pump house though became elusive as the day wore on.

Minsmere - 2 SAVI'S WARBLER reeling from Island Mere this morning + Purple Heron viewable from Bittern hide at 17:09hrs. 2 Spoonbill South over Whin Hill at 20:00hrs + 10 Spotted Redshank & 1st sum Little Gull on the scrape.

Alde Estuary - Great Egret seen at Hazelwood Marshes.

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the RSPB reserve.

Sunday 25th June.

Lowestoft Area - A male Red-backed Shrike was found early afternoon NNE of Burgh Castle by Pump House along Breydon South wall. Walk NNW then ENE along public footpath from church West of Burgh Castle for 1.75miles.

Walberswick - Great Egret Westwood Marshes at 15:30hrs.

Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER still singing from Is.mere.

Hollesley - 7 Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley Marshes + 3 1st summer Little Gulls.

Saturday 24th June.

Hollesley - 7 Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley Marsh RSPB + 2 1st summer Little Gulls noted.

Lakenheath - Wood Sand at Lakenheath Fen RSPB.

Friday 23rd June.

Reydon - The escaped Black Kite was seen feeding on carrion in Quay Lane, Reydon then flew into the Adams compound.

Minsmere - 2 SAVI'S WARBLERS still audible from Island Mere this morning. 1st summer Arctic Tern, 7 Y L Gull + c400 Med Gulls noted this evening.

Thursday 22nd June.

Minsmere - 2 SAVI'S WARBLER singing again from Is.mere + 1st summer Arctic Tern on South scrape. 1st summer Caspian Gull, 7 Yellow-legged Gull and 396 Med Gulls noted in the evening Gull roost.

Hollesley - 4 Spoonbill on the RSPB reserve.

Trimley Marshes - Black Tern over the reservoir.

Wednesday 21st June.

Felixstowe - The Greenish Warbler was still present at LBO though remained very elusive with it being only briefly seen at 11:05hrs then again at 17:00hrs.

Tuesday 20th June.

Minsmere - 2 SAVI'S WARBLER'S (both singing) were reported from Island Mere today + 2 Caspian Gulls (2s & 1s) and 6 Spotted Redshank on East scrape

Hollesley - 4 Spoonbill n the scrape at Hollesley Marsh RSPB.

Felixstowe - A Greenish Warbler was discovered behind the kitchen at LBO at 15:20hrs but soon went to ground and no further sign by early evening.

Monday 19th June.

North Warren - Honey Buzzard NW over North Warren - Aldringham Road early afternoon.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill on the scrape.

Felixstowe - Serin seen briefly at Landguard at 07:20hrs.

Sunday 18th June.

Minsmere - No sign today of the Marsh Warbler. Arctic Tern seen from the public viewing platform mid morning.

Alde Estuary - 1st summer Little Gull at Hazelwood Marshes.

Saturday 17th June.

Lowestoft Area - Adult male Red-footed Falcon rptd at Somerleyton late afternoon. 5 Black Redstart (3 juvs) at Lowestoft Town FC.

Minsmere - A Marsh Warbler was singing and showing well by the new viewing mound adjacent to the pond mid morning 10:00-14:00hrs then seen again from 20:00hrs.

Hollesley - 4 Spoonbill on the scrape.

Trimley Marshes - Great Egret on the SWT reserve.

Friday 16th June.

Minsmere - 1st summer Caspian Gull on East scrape.

Thursday 15th June.

Minsmere  - SAVI'S WARBLER heard reeling from Island Mere.

Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER still audible from Island Mere + 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon North over South hide early afternoon.

Hollesley - 4 1st summer Little Gull on the scrape.

Minsmere - 2 Spoonbill on East scrape.

North Warren - The 1st summer Red-footed Falcon continues to show over the main reedbed.

Sunday 11th June.

North Warren - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon still present over the main reedbed this morning.

Saturday 10th June.

Blyford - 3 Bee-eaters flew over Halesworth Road at 12:35hrs.

Walberswick - Unconfirmed report of Red-footed Falcon at Old Town Marshes near old windpump at 14:10hrs.

Minsmere - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon seen between Island Mere & Bittern hides mid afternoon (North Warren bird?)

Sizewell - 1st summer Caspian Gull on the beach early morning.

North Warren - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon again over the main reedbed late morning seen later at Minsmere before returning early evening.

Friday 9th June.

Lowestoft Area - Hoopoe rptd on Kessingland beach.

Minsmere - Drake Garganey on East scrape + Y L Gull.

North Warren - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon present until 10:10hrs only over New Fen. (photo John Richardson).

Hollesley - Osprey North over the RSPB reserve at 08:10hrs + Spoonbill & 5 1st summer Little Gulls noted.

Thursday 8th June.

Minsmere - 1st summer Purple Heron seen in flight on & off today + Great Egret & Spoonbill on the reserve.

North Warren - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon still present over the main reedbed.

Hollesley - 2 1st summer Little Gull on the RSPB reserve.

Wednesday 7th June.

Minsmere - Purple Heron still showing periodically from Bittern hide.

North Warren - 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon over the main reedbed.

Boyton - 2 Turtle Dove Boyton Marshes.

Tuesday 6th June.

Minsmere - The Purple Heron,was again seen today although very elusive from Bittern hide + Great Egret.

Monday 5th June.

Minsmere - The Purple Heron,was again seen on & off throughout the day from Bittern hide + the 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon put in a brief appearance from Bittern hide & SAVI'S WARBLER heard reeling early afternoon..

Sunday 4th June.

Minsmere - A Purple Heron was seen on and off throughout the day from Bittern hide, also seen on the reserve; Glossy Ibis that was briefly seen on East scrape late morning then flew East towards Eastbridge before returning to West scrape at 16:30hrs and a 1st summer male Red-footed Falcon which was seen hunting the main reedbed viewed from Bittern hide late evening.

Orfordness - Black Kite observed for 5 mins at 07:05hrs then flew West over Sudbourne then turned South and lost to view.

Brandon - Wood Warbler still singing and showing well on Gas House Drove.

Lakenheath - Probable Little Bittern heard singing early morning from Joist Fen then from North Fen.

Saturday 3rd June.

Lowestoft Area - 3 Black Redstarts (adult & 2 juveniles) by Sembmatine yard.

Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER reeling from Island Mere at 05:10hrs + Great Egret on South levels.

Aldeburgh - 3 1st summer Little Gulls on Town Marshes + 2 1st summer Little Gulls at Hazelwood Marsh. (photo Mark Cornish).

Hollesley - 5 1st summer Little Gulls on the scrape at Hollesley Marshes.

Ipswich - The adult Rose-coloured Starling was again seen today favouring rear gardens on Larchcroft Road and Larchcroft Close. (photo Lee Woods).

Brandon - Wood Warbler still along Gas House Drove.

Lakenheath - Probable Little Bittern seen in flight.

Friday 2nd June.

Benacre - 1st summer Little Gull still on the broad.

Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER still Island Mere + 1st summer Caspian Gull.

North Warren - Great Egret noted from disused rail track.

Hollesley - 2 1st summer Little Gulls on the scrape

Ipswich - Adult Rose-coloured Starling seen amongst c50 Starlings in a rear garden along Henley Road (between Dales Road & Clive Avenue) at 08:30hrs.

Brandon - Wood Warbler still Gas House Drove.

Thursday 1st June.

Minsmere - SAVI'S WARBLER still Island Mere. Red-footed Falcon present over the main reedbed until 13:30hrs then flew West. A possible Iberian Chiffchaff was reportedly singing by the toilet block at 19:30hrs.

Felixstowe - An IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF was trapped, ringed and released at 04:30hrs and sang between the hours of 07:00 - 08:30 before vanishing. This sighting represents a first for the county.

Hollesley - 3 1st summer Little Gulls on the scrape.

Brantham - A Marsh Warbler was heard singing from scrub East of footbridge crossing railway line.

Brandon - Wood Warbler still singing along Gas House Drove.
