Lowestoft Area - 3 Pied Fly at the North Denes Oval. 8 Whinchat at Kessingland sluice.

Southwold - Juvenile Caspian Gull along the harbour mouth.

Minsmere - 3 Pied Fly in the North bushes. + Osprey from Island Mere mid afternoon.

Sizewell - c20 Little Gulls offshore opposite Sizewell B.

Alde Estuary - A drake FERRUGINOUS DUCK was present this morning at a site with no general access, the bird was then looked for during the evening though no sign, otherwise 19 Spoonbill & 2 Osprey were seen from Hazelwood Marshes.

Shingle Street - 11 Whinchat noted this morning.

Hollesley - 6 Whinchat noted from the viewing platform at Hollesley RSPB.

Bawdsey - Pied Fly at East Lane along the concrete track.

Felixstowe - Pied Fly at LBO.

Lackford Lakes - 2 Osprey again at the SWT reserve.

Friday 30th.

Lowestoft Area - 2+ Pied Fly still Links Hill & 2 Pied Fly seen between Denes Oval and Warrenhouse Wood.

Benacre - Osprey South at midday + juvenile Curlew Sand on the broad.

Misnmere - 2 Pied Fly in the North bushes + Osprey South at 12:55hrs.

Aldeburgh - Pied Fly Church Farm estate.

Alde Estuary - 2 Osprey seen over the estuary prior to 08:00hrs. 13 Spoonbill at Hazelwood Marsh + 9 Whinchat around the estuary & Pied Fly (photo Mark Cornish)

Shingle Street - Pied Fly still by the allotments + 3 Whinchat.

Felixstowe - Pied Fly trapped and ringed at LBO.

Ipswich - Pied Fly in Holywells Park by the big pond.

Lackford - 2 Osprey over the SWT reserve this morning and showing well with one still present early afternoon.

Great Livermere - 4 Spotted Redshank on Livermere Lake.

Thursday 29th.

Lowestoft Area - A Wryneck was briefly seen shortly after 10:00hrs in scrub on Gunton Warren. 3 Pied Fly in sycamores North of Links Hill + Whinchat on North Denes. 10 Whinchat Kessingland sluice.

Minsmere - 4 Pied Fly + 2 juvenile Curlew Sand on the scrape.

Thorpeness - Pied Fly on the old caravan park + 8 Little Gull offshore.

Alde Estuary - A Wryneck was found this evening + 14 Spoonbill on Hazelwood Marshes.

Felixstowe - 2 Pied Fly along the tomline wall opposite the ferry golf club house.

Lackford - Osprey over the SWT reserve at 16:15hrs.

Wednesday 28th.

Lowestoft Area - 4 Pied Fly in sycamores along Links Hill. Pied Fly at Pakefield.

Southwold - Pied Fly seen along the old railway line.

Minsmere - 2 Pied Fly seen on the reserve today, one in the North bushes and the other just South of the sluice. 2 juvenile Curlew Sand on the scrape + 11 Little Gulls & 5 Spotted Redshank.

Thorpness - 3 Pied Fly at the haven.

Alde Estuary - 12 Spoonbill at Hazelwood Marshes. 2 juvenile Curlew Sand at Iken + Osprey over.

Havergate - Curlew Sand on the RSPB reserve + 16 Spoonbill.

Bawdsey - Pied Fly at East Lane along the concrete track to martello tower.

Felixstowe - Pied Fly at LBO, also Pied Fly seen in small copse at the ferry by the millennium green.

Tuesday 27th.

Lowestoft Area - Pied Fly at the entrance of Corton old sewage works. Pied Fly Ash Farm Mutford. Pied Fly Kessingland sewage works.

Benacre - 2 juv Curlew Sands on the broad + juv Little Gull.

Covehithe - 2 Pied Flys near the church.

Reydon - Osprey over Hen Reedbeds at midday seen drifting North

Southwold - Pied Flys were seen around the town today at the following locations; sewage work paddocks (3), Dell by the flash (3), old railtrack by the cross-roads (3), sewage works (2), water tower (2) and the southern end of the golf course (1)

Minsmere - 2 juv Curlew Sand on South scrape + Garganey, 18 Little Gull & 3 LRP around the scrape. Pied Fly by the public viewing platform.

North Warren - Garganey on South Marsh.

Leiston - Osprey SE over the leisure centre at 11:00hrs.

Alde Estuary - 13 Spoonbill at Hazelwood Marshes + Osprey West at 14:50hrs.

Hollesley - 3 Pied Fly trapped and ringed at a private site in the village. 

Felixstowe - Pied Fly LBO.

Monday 26th.

Lowestoft Area - Up to 6 Pied Fly between Dip Farm and the disused railtrack at Gunton. Pied Fly at Maltsters Score. Pied Fly Furse Wood, Corton.

Pied Fly Corton disused railtrack. Common Redstart Gunton railtrack. Pied Fly South end of North Denes caravan park.

Benacre - Juv Curlew Sand on the broad.

Southwold - 2 Pied Fly by the sewage works + Pied Fly at Waters Copse.

Westleton - 2 Pied Fly on the heath.

Minsmere - 7 Curlew Sand, 3 Spot Reds & 25 Little Gull being the highlights from around the reserve.

Orford - Pied Fly by the quay.

Alde Estuary - 8 Spoonbill Haelwood Marsh + 4 Spotted Redshank. 2 Pied Fly on Town Marshes + one in the churchyard.

Bawdsey - Pied Fly at East Lane

Felixstowe - Pied Fly trapped and ringed at LBO. Pied Fly Adastral Close.

Sunday 25th.

Lowestoft Area - Pied Fly in trees by Coastguard Cottages roundabout. Pied Fly Hubbards Loke. 2 Pied Fly Gunton disused railtrack + 3 Whinchat in nearby burial field. Pied Fly Carlton Marshes SWT on Sprats Water + 2 Great Egret. 4 Pied Fly Kessingland fishing lakes + Pied Fly at near-by Heathlands.

Southwold - Pied Fly at the sewage works

Dunwich - 3 Pied Fly behind Heath Barn.

Westleton - Pied Fly on the heath + Whinchat.

Minsmere - Pied Fly seen by the pond briefly at 08:20hrs + 7 Whinchat on the reserve.

Sizewell - Pied Fly on the Sizewell estate.

Lowestoft Area - At Gunton, 5+ Pied Flys along the disused railtrack + 3 Pied Flys near-by at the North end of Dip Farm. 2 Pied Flys Corton disused railtrack. 2 Pied Flys at Burgh Castle (Burgh Hall). Pied Fly + Spotted Fly in the NE corner of Corton churchyard. Pied Fly Sparrows Nest Park. Pied Fly trapped at Kessingland sewage works. 6 Pied Flys along Marsh Lane, Kessingland. Pied Fly at Hamilton Road/Newcombe Road junction.

Benacre - Stone Curlew on the broad + Little Gull.

Covehithe - Juv Garganey + 2 Spotted Redshank & Whinchat noted.

Southwold - Pied Flycatcher seen by the sewage work early afternoon.

Westleton - 2 Pied Flys seen at Mount Pleasant.

Shingle Street - 4 Whinchat present in the meadow opposite the tennis court.

Bawdsey - Single Pied Flycatcher noted along the cliffs.

Felixstowe - 2 Pied Flys and a Common Redstart noted at LBO.

Needham Market - 2 Whinchat at Pipps Ford.

Cavenham - Great Egret on the pits + 4 Sandwich Tern.

Friday 23rd.

Lowestoft Area - Pied Flycatcher by the entrance to Corton Old Sewage Works. 4 Whinchat between Kessingland - Benacre.

Minsmere - Pied Flycatchers were noted by East hide and still in the sluice bushes. 5 Whinchat by lucky pool.

Alde Estuary - 6 Spoonbill at Hazelwood Marshes + Spotted Redshank. 7 Whinchat on Town Marshes.

Felixstowe - A BALEARIC SHEARWATER was seen to fly close North offshore from LBO at 06:52hrs.

Thursday 22nd.

Lowestoft Area - 4 Whinchat by Kessingland sluice + Pied Flycatcher. 2 Whinchat North Denes + 2 Pied Flycatcher at Hubbard's Loke, Gunton.

Halesworth  - Osprey SW over the town heading towards the Blyth Estuary at 09:15hrs.

Walberswick - Great Egret on Westwood Marsh + Osprey South at 11:55hrs.

Minsmere - Drake FERRUGINOUS DUCK on Island Mere. Pied Flycatcher still in the sluice bushes + Curlew Sand on the scrape.

Alde Estuary - 13 Spoonbill Hazelwood Marsh + 2 Whinchat.

Shingle Street - Whinchat by the tennis court.

Bawdsey - Whinchat at East Lane.

Felixstowe - Wood Warbler trapped at LBO + Turtle Dove & Whinchat noted.

Wednesday 21st.

Lowestoft Area - Whinchat's seen along the North Denes + North of Kessingland sluice.

Minsmere - Cattle Egret present on South levels + Pied Fly in the sluice bushes.

Felixstowe - Pied Fly trapped at LBO.

Tuesday 20th.

Lowestoft Area - Immature male Common Redstart Gunton Warren North of Warren House wood. Whinchat Kessingland sluice.

Alde Estuary - 6 Spoonbill Hazelwood Marshes.

Shingle Street - 3 Whinchat still present.

Minsmere - A drake FERRUGINOUS DUCK was found on pools (South Girder) behind South hide this morning (photo Andrew Moon). An immature male Common Redstart was seen by the visitor centre car park at 13:40hrs.

Felixstowe - Tree Pipit South over LBO + 2 Purple Sands.

Monday 19th.

Minsmere - 11 Curlew Sands dropped on to the scrape this afternoon.

Alde Estaury - Highlights from around the estuary included 7 Whinchat, Common Redstart, Wood Sand & 10+ Whimbrel.

Shingle Street - 4 Whinchat in meadow opposite the tennis court.

Deben Estaury - 3 Whinchat at Kingsfleet.

Felixstowe - 3 Tree Pipit over + Whinchat at LBO. 

Sudbury - Osprey over Henry Bridge late afternoon. 

Sunday 18th.

Walberswick - Juv/1st winter Caspian Gull at the harbour.

Shingle Street - 4 Whinchat present today.

Deben Estuary - Quail calling from wheat field close to still at Felixstowe Ferry (Heard from river wall).

Felixstowe - Osprey South at 09:42hrs.

Trimley Marshes - Juv/1st winter Caspian Gull noted.

Cavenham - 2 Great Egret NW over the heath at 08:30hrs

Saturday 17th.

Lowestoft Area - Osprey over Carlton Marshes early afternoon.

Alde Estuary - 9 Spoonbill present at Hazelwood Marshes 13:10hrs at least (photo Mark Cornish).

Minsmere - Wood Sand on the scrape.

Alde Estuary - Up to 9 Spoonbill on the estuary.

Felixstowe - Wholly unconfirmed report of an AQUATIC WARBLER at Landguard.

Thursday 15th.

Lowestoft Area - Little Gull North of Ness Point. Wood Sand Herringfleet Marshes.

Southwold - A Swift sp with a white-rump (possible PACIFIC SWIFT) was reported over the boating lake at 14:35hrs before drifting off over nearby houses.

Minsmere - Wood Sand still present

Alde Estuary - Adult Curlew Sand on the estuary + 5 Spoonbill. Single Wood Sandpiper remain + 2 Whinchat noted (photo Mark Cornish).

Alde Estuary - 8 Spoonbill noted this morning on the estuary.

Thorpeness - Arctic Skua South + Little Gull North.

Alde Estuary - Adult Little Stint, Curlew Sand, juvenile Wood Sand and 4 Spoonbill the highlights from around the estuary.

Ipswich - Non-breeding drake Hooded Merganser still on the River Gipping by the Sir Bobby Robson bridge on Westend Road.

Tuesday 6th.

Lowestoft Area - A juvenile PURPLE HERON was reported from Homersfield flushed from bank of River Waveney at 13:15hrs then flew South.

Benacre - 2 Arctic Terns (adult + juv) & 6 Little Gulls on the broad.

Covehithe - Wood Sand on the broad.

Dunwich - A Wood Warbler was trapped on the heath today.

Minsmere - 42 Little Gull on South scrape this morning + 3 adult Y L Gulls & Wood Sand noted this evening.

Alde Estuary - Highlights from the estuary today included adults of both Little Stint & Curlew Sand, 5 juvenile Wood Sands & 3 Spoonbill (photo Mark Cornish).
