Thursday 30th

Waveney Area - A male Red-backed Shrike reported by the sea wall at Ness Ecological area this early afternoon only. Juvenile Garganey on Peto's Marsh Carlton Marshes + 5 LRP's

Hollesley - 7 Wood Sands at Hollesley Marshes + Spoonbill & Limosa Black-tailed Godwit

Wednesday 29th.

Minsmere - Adult Roseate Tern again on south scrape + 2 1st summer Little Gull.

Tuesday 28th

Minsmere - Adult Roseate Tern again on south scrape this afternoon / early evening + 3 Spotted Redshank on west scrape.

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the scrape at 1900hrs + LRP.

Thetford - BEE-EATER flew west at 0658hrs (heard only)

Monday 27th

Minsmere - No sign today of the Caspian Tern but 3 Spotted Redshank on the scrape.

Sunday 26th

Waveney Area - Manx Shearwater south past Ness Point at 1945hrs.

Minsmere - The CASPIAN TERN continued to show well today on South Scrape, the bird occasionally flies to Island Mere to fed and then return + Spoonbill south over the reserve at 0802hrs (photo c/o Gary Mowles)

Alde Estuary - 4 Spoonbill Hazelwood Marshes.

Hollesley - Spoonbill Hollesley Marshes this evening.

Saturday 25th

Benacre - Spoonbill on the broad

Covehithe - Spoonbill on the broad (same as the Benacre bird?)

Minsmere - A CASPIAN TERN was found on South Scrape at 1523hrs and remained on the reserve until 2050hrs at least. Offshore c300 Common Scoter present.

Hollesley - 3 Spoonbill on the scrape this evening + LRP.

Friday 24th

Minsmere - A HONEY BUZZARD was seen low south over the work centre at 13:12hrs + Glossy Ibis seen at dusk.

Boyton - Single Spoonbill on the flash.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill (adult & juvenile) on Hollesley Marshes + 2 Great Egret.

Trimley Marshes - Spotted Redshank on the summer flood + Spoonbill

Orwell Estuary - 2 Spoonbill in Levington Creek this evening.

Hadleigh - 2 Whooper Swan were an unseasonal find on Gifford's Flash near Layham.

Thursday 23rd

Waveney Area - 7 Common Crossbill briefly in the SW corner of Corton Woods this evening then flew W

Southwold - Glossy Ibis on Busscreek flash

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill on the scrape + 2 Spotted Redshank.

Sutton Hoo - 2 Raven high over SE at midday

Wednesday 22nd

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley Marshes.

Tuesday 21st

Waveney Area - A BEE-EATER was noted east over Mutford towards Kessingland / Carlton Colville at 1130hrs.

Wangford - A probable LITTLE SWIFT was seen west at 0409hrs.

Minsmere - Glossy Ibis still on the konik field, also Black Tern seen briefly just before 0900hrs and a Osprey seen from Bittern Hide mid morning.

Orford - Spoonbill north at 1448hrs.

Alton Water - Slavonian Grebe still on the reservoir opposite Tattingstone Place.

Chelmodiston - 3 Corn Bunting along Lings Lane.

Monday 20th

Minsmere - 1st summer Little Gull noted off the sluice.

Hollesley - Single Spoonbill on the RSPB reserve

Alton Water - The long-staying Slavonian Grebe continues to take up residence on the reservoir opposite Tattingstone Place.

Sunday 19th

Southwold - 3 Spoonbill still on Busscreek Flash.

Minsmere - 2 Glossy Ibises still on the reserve + 1st summer Little Gull stlll present.

Sizewell - An unseasonable Goosander (female) was noted north offshore.

North Warren - Spoonbill south at 1215hrs.

Boyton - 2 Spoonbill north just after 0800hrs.

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the flash viewable from Warren Hill.

Deben Estuary - 4 Spoonbill south over Kingsfleet at 1850hrs.

Saturday 18th

Waveney Area - Osprey seen at Lound Water Works late afternoon.

Southwold - 3 Spoonbill on Busscreek Flashes.

Minsmere - 2 Roseate Tern on south scrape this morning.

North Warren - Spoonbill + Great Egret on south marsh.

Felixstowe - BEE-EATHER north over LBO at 0615hrs (heard only).

Friday 17th

Minsmere - Spoonbill south over the reserve early morning + 1st summer Little Gull present.

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the scrape.

Elmswell - Osprey just north of Elmswell over Badwell Ash

Thursday 16th

Waveney Area - 2 Common Crane over Herringfleet Mill at 0930hrs

Hollesley - 9 Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley Marshes RSPB

Wednesday 15th

Westleton - A dark phase HONEY BUZZARD was seen mid afternoon heading towards Minsmere.

Minsmere - 4 Glossy Ibis seen in flight heading towards Sizewell.

Aldeburgh - A HONEY BUZZARD was seen to fly SW over the northern edge of the Town at 1327hrs heading towards Town Marshes.

Boyton - 4 Spoonbill Boyton Marshes this morning.

Hollesley - 6 Spoonbill Hollesley Marshes (presumed 4 of the Boyton birds)?

Tuesday 14th

Minsmere - 1+ Common Crane heard calling from Island Mere early morning

North Warren - HONEY BUZZARD reported south over the RSPB reserve.

Hollesley - 6 Spoonbill on the scrape at 1525hrs

Woodbridge - Raven over Bredfield Road heading west mid afternoon.

Felixstowe - 3 BEE-EATERS flew SW over the town at 0745hrs.

Monday 13th

Minsmere - Glossy Ibis flew from Chapel Field pool at 1545hrs towards Island Mere + 2 Little Gull still on south scrape.

Sizewell - Black Redstart along the perimeter fence of the power station.

Boyton - Spoonbill Boyton Marshes at 1340hrs

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill Hollesley Marshes RSPB

Levington - A HOOPOE was seen and photographed within the village

Bury St Edmunds - Black Redstart singing on Angel Lane.

Pakenham - 2 WHITE STORK over Fen Road at midday then flew south,

Sunday 12th

Waveney Area - 6 Spoonbill on Peto's Marsh Carlton Marshes at 08:00hrs.

Minsmere - 4 Glossy Ibis, 2 Little Gull, Arctic Tern + Spoonbill the highlights from around the reserve

Westleton - Quail singing just south of Westleton Common.

Aldeburgh - 2 BEE-EATER's over Aldeburgh Golf Course at 08:10hrs before drifted off south.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley RSPB.

Lakenheath - HONEY BUZZARD reported over Lakenheath Fen RSPB + WHITE STORK north side of Little Ouse River

Saturday 11th

Minsmere - Adult Roseate Tern again on south scrape this evening. 4 Glossy Ibis still on the reserve though mobile + Little Gull and Continental "Limosa" Black-tailed Godwit.

Boyton - 2 Spoonbill Boyton Marshes then flew towards Butley.

Friday 10th.

Minsmere - Glossy Ibis on the konik + 3 Great Egret on Island Mere this morning.

Snape - A HONEY BUZZARD was seen over Snape Warren late morning.

Felixstowe - A male SERIN was seen south over LBO before being located by the mining station where it showed well for a short period before flying off high north (photo c/o Will Brame)

Alton Water - Slavonian Grebe still opposite Tattingstone Place.

Thursday 9th.

Minsmere - A GOLDEN ORIOLE was reported near Cow Hill Marsh this morning + 4 Glossy Ibis on south levels & Wood Sand on west scrape.

Eastbridge - HONEY BUZZARD reported over the village.

Boyton - 2 adult Spoonbill on Boyton Marshes

Wednesday 8th

Minsmere - 6 Glossy Ibises still on the reserve although remain mobile.

Hollesley - Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley RSPB + female Garganey in flooded meadow by the car park.

Tuesday 7th

Minsmere - 5 Glossy Ibises still present on the reserve though mobile + Spoonbill.

Monday 6th

Minsmere - The adult PURPLE HERON continued to show from Bittern Hide throughout the afternoon though was generally elusive and was then seen to fly high East out to sea at 1849hrs, also a BEE-EATER was heard by the work centre at 1700hrs, 6 Glossy Ibises on south levels and the adult Roseate Tern was again on south scrape though is mobile.

Sunday 5th

Minsmere - Adult Roseate Tern again on south scrape this afternoon + adult PURPLE HERON still present though generally elusive along with 6 Glossy Ibises.

Saturday  4th

Minsmere - Adult PURPLE HERON seen from Bittern Hide at 1350hrs + 6 Glossy Ibis from Island Mere.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill on the scrape at Hollesley Marshes.

Alton Water - Summer plumage Slavonian Grebe still present and opposite Tattingstone Place.

Friday 3rd

Waveney Area - 3 Great Egret + Garganey at Carlton Marshes SWT.

Minsmere - Adult PURPLE HERON seen from Island Mere mid afternoon + 4 Glossy Ibises still on the reserve though mobile.

Chelmodiston - Singing Corn Bunting along Lings Lane.

Thursday 2nd

Minsmere - 5 Glossy Ibis still on the scrape + Curlew Sand still present.

Deben Estuary - Great Egret flew from dyke near Holm Hill, Kingsfleet.

Alton Water - Slavonian Grebe still opposite Tattingstone Place.

Lakenheath - A female RED-FOOTED FALCON was seen over the RSPB reserve at 0835hrs + 3 Cattle Egret

Wednesday 1st

Minsmere - Adult PURPLE HERON again from Bittern hide at 12:05, plus 2 Curlew Sandpipers on South scrape from South hide

Woodbridge - Ring Necked Parakeet West over Bredfield Road
