Walberswick - Ringtail Hen Harrier Tinkers Marsh.

Bramfield - 2 Black Redstart in the village.

Minsmere - 2 drake Garganey on east scrape + Little Gull on Island Mere.

Sizewell - Probable ALPINE SWIFT seen briefly heading south from the coastal path between Sizewell - Thorpeness at 17:15hrs.

North Warren - 2 Spoonbill & 2 Great Egret south marshes.

Boyton - 4 Pink-footed Geese still Boyton Marshes.

Stour Estuary - Common Whitethroat on White Horse Marsh Cattawade (first reported bird this year in the county).

Brecks - Cattle Egret still Cavenham Flash. 2 Lesser-spotted Woodpecker west of Santon Downham bridge

Lakenheath - 6 Garganey (4 drake) Lakenheath Fen RSPB + Cattle Egret beyond Joist Fen & Willow Warbler.

Tuesday 30th.

Waveney Area - Iceland Gull again on sea defences opposite the net posts, Lowestoft + Black Redstart east of Denes Oval. Great Egret Carlton Marshes + 2 LRP. Black Redstart seen by the A12 roundabout by Asda. 9 Purple Sands at Ness Point. Black Redstart Heritage Green Kessingland.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad

Reydon - Adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE again Hen Reedbeds SWT.

Blythburgh - Black Redstart in garden within the village.

Dunwich - Firecrest near Little Dingle House.

Minsmere - Firecrest at the sluice bushes + Black Redstart along north all.

North Warren - Great Egret + female Goosander on south marsh.

Alde Estuary - Black Redstart + 3 Brambling noted.

Snape - Cattle Egret SW of Langham bridge before settling at Botany Marshes (photo Andrew Moon).

Tunstall - Black Redstart by Forest House this am.

Boyton - 4 Pink-footed Geese still Boyton Marshes.

Shingle Street - Female type Black Redstart behind the tennis courts.

Several Common Migrants noted today including Sedge Warbler. Wheatear, Swallow, Sand Martin...

Monday 29th.

Waveney Area - The juvenile Iceland Gull on groynes south of Swimming Pool Road at 08:35hrs then flew inland to Belle Vue monument. Presumably the same bird was seen over Hopton early afternoon then back of Swimming Pool Road at 15:00hrs.

Covehithe -Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Reydon - Adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE still Hen Reedbeds.

Snape - Cattle Egret in fields with cattle by Botany Marshes in field on south side of road viewed from bridge/pull in, then flew towards the RSPB reserve.

Alde Estuary - Great Egret on Town Marshes + 2 Water Pipit & LRP.

Sudbourne - ROUGH-LEGGED BUZZARD seen over Sudbourne Marshes.

Hollesley - 11 EWFG still Hollesley Marshes.

Felixstowe - Black Redstart LBO + 13 Wheatear

Bramford - Raven over Bullen Lane

Brecks - Cattle Egret still Cavenham Heath at Cavenham Flash by the 2nd car park. Singing Tree Pipit Thetford Forest off ride 7 opposite Centre Parcs.

Several Red Kites continue to be seen throughout the county.

Sunday 28th.

Waveney Area - Iceland Gull again on groynes opposite North Denes caravan park at 15:30hrs.

Minsmere - Drake Garganey on west scrape + 3 1st winter Caspian Gull on east scrape. Mealy Redpoll in alder tress by Is.mere.

Sizewell - 2 Caspian Gull (both 1w) near fishing boats.

North Warren - Spoonbill on soouth marsh + 2 Great Egret.

Boyton - 4 Spoonbill early evening at Boyton Marshes.

Bawdsey - 2 Garganey (1 drake) on the 1st lagoon at East Lane.

Wickhambrook - Black Redstart seen at Denston late morning.

Brecks - Cattle Egret still on Cavenham Heath flash) though distant + LRP.

Several Red Kites continue to be reported in the county.

Waveney Area - Iceland Gull again on groynes just north of Denes Oval at 13:35hrs.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Southwold - 1w male Black Redstart singing along the sea front.

Reydon - Adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE still Hen Reedbeds + Firecrest Reydon Wood SWT.

Halesworth - Osprey reported west over the town.

Dunwich - Immature WHITE-TAILED EAGLE north over Dingle Marshes early afternoon

North Warren - 5 Spoonbill, 2 Great Egret & 2 Goosander (1 drake) on south marsh.

Boyton - 4 Pink-footed Geese still Boyton Marshes + 4 Spoonbill though mobile.

Trimley Marshes - Tundra Bean Goose + 2 Great Egret on the SWT reserve.

Stour Estuary - Possible Snow Goose or hybrid on field west of Cattawade.

Ipswich - Shag in the wet dock opposite Anglo Norden building.

Capel St. Mary - Great Grey Shrike still along Old London Road

Brecks - Lesser-spotted Woodpecker still Santon Downham. LRP Cavenham Pits.

Friday 26th.

Waveney Area - Spoonbill over Carlton Marshes this morning.

Covehithe - The long-staying drake Long-tailed Duck continues to show on the broad + 2 EWFG.

Reydon - Common Crane north over the village.

Minsmere - Drake Garganey viewable from the public viewing screen this morning.

Aldeburgh - 2 Firecrest on Warren Hill + 2 Great Egret & 5 Goosander on south marsh.

Boyton - 4 Pink-footed Geese remain at Boyton Marshes.

Hollesley - 19 EWFG still Hollesley Marshes + single Pink-footed Goose. Spoonbill noted at 14:10hrs.

Deben Estuary - Great Egret at Felixstowe Ferry.

Hadleigh - Great Egret downstream from Kersey Mill

Brecks - Several Sand Martins noted + the first House Martins seen of the spring with singletons at both Cavenham and Lackford Lakes respectively.

There was a small influx of Wheatear into the county today with 4 birds present at LBO, 3 at Beach Farm Benacre and singles up the coast.

Thursday 25th.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull opposite Lowestoft north denes on groynes. WHITE-TAILED EAGLE seen over Bradwell/Fritton at 10:34hrs.

Blythburgh - Short-eared Owl seen over the estuary.

Minsmere - The first Wheatear of the year was seen along the north all.

Sizewell - Adult Common Crane north over Sizewell B power station at 0:45hrs.

North Warren - Immature WHITE-TAILED EAGLE presumed from the reintroduction scheme seen north over the marshes at 08:57hrs, then tracked north...

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad + male Hen Harrier briefly. 3 Common Crane over.

Walberswick - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen near Tinkers Marsh.

Boyton - Adult Spoonbill Boyton Marshes late afternoon.

Hollesley - Single Pink-footed Goose + 15 EWFG Hollesley Marshes.

Wickham Market - 2 Garganey (1 drake) on the Deben heading towards Easton.

Felixstowe - Firecrest along Cornwall Road. Black Redstart seen at the Ferry.

Trimley Marshes - 2 Black Redstart along the entrance track to the SWT reserve.

Reydon - Ring-tail Hen Harrier soaring high north over the village at 11:15hrs

Southwold - Great Egret seen on pools by the Sail Loft car park at 08:19hrs + 1w Caspian Gull on the harbour wall.

Minsmere - 2 Great Egret on Island Mere.

North Warren - 3 Great Egret seen on the RSPB reserve today, 2 on North Marsh + 1 on South Marsh.

Hollesley - 12 EWFG on Hollesley Marshes.

Wantisden - 2 Garganey (1 drake) on Staverton Pools.

Woodbridge - Lesser-spotted Woodpecker at Broomheath this morning.

Orwell Estuary - Raven south over Levington Creek.

Capel St. Mary - Great Grey Shrike still along the Old London Road + Long-eared Owl seen being mobbed near Tawneys Farm by Corids

Stowmarket - Merlin north over Boyton Hall.

Brecks - Cattle Egret still Cavenham flash.

Lakenheath - WHITE STORK again on the bank of the Little Ouse then flew to fields north of Joist Fen.

Monday 22nd.

Waveney Area - Swallow over at Kessingland.

Minsmere - A WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was seen over Bittern hide at 10:33hrs, then tracked up the coast and noted heading north from the following locations;

  • Westleton Heath 10:40hrs
  • Dunwich Heath - 10:44hrs
  • Walberswick - 10:52hrs
  • Southwold - 11:00hrs
  • Kessingland - 11:30hrs

Thorpness - An immature WHITE-TAILED EAGLE seen circling just above the shoreline south of the village at 14:52hrs then drifted north

Butley - 2 Garganey (1 drake) noted.

Boyton - 5 Pink-footed Geese Boyton Marshes.

Hollesley - 8 EWFG still Hollesley Marshes

Sunday 21st.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull seen again in Gunton on church field. Fem/1st win male Black Redstart at Heritage Green, Kessingland.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE continues to show with Greylag Geese at Hen Reed-beds.

Walberswick - An immature WHITE TAILED EAGLE was seen north over the village shortly after 07:00hrs then over the Blyth heading towards Hen Reed-beds Reydon. The bird which roosted in Dunwich Forest last night, is part of the Isle of Wight reintroduction scheme.

Minsmere - Drake Garganey present on the scrape.

Thorpeness - Male Black Redstart seen on rooftops in the village.

Aldeburgh - Firecrest seen along Warren Hill.

Slaughden - Pale Bellied Brent Goose noted.

Rendlesham - WHITE-TAILED EAGLE low east over Tangham Forest 12:10hrs also seen north over Melton.

Stour Estuary - Female Greater Scaup still off Mistley quay.

Capel St. Mary - Great Grey Shrike still by Old London Road at TM.102.377 though mobile and elusive.

Brecks - Both Cattle Egret and Great Egret seen on Cavenham Heath flash.

Lakenheath - White Stork at Lakenheath Fen RSPB + Cattle Egret & 3 Garganey.

Saturday 20th.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull sat on groynes along Lowestoft north denes this afternoon. Spoonbill seen high NW over Whitecast Marsh Oulton Broad early morning.

Covehithe - The long-staying drake Long-tailed Duck continues to show on the broad.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE continues to associate with the Greylag Geese at Hen Reed-beds + 18 EWFG & adult Caspian Gull noted.

Dunwich - Great Egret Dingle Marshes

Westleton - Hen Harrier seen by the quarry on the heath.

Felixstowe - 2 Firecrest trapped at LBO (photo Will Brame).

Orwell Estuary - A Slavonian Grebe was initially seen on the Stour before drifting upriver past Trinity termonal.

Whatfield - Raven seen over fields between Whatfield and Ash Street late morning.

Brecks - 4 Lesser-spotted Woodpecker 3/4 ml west of the bridge at Santon Downham. Cattle Egret still on Cavenham Heath early afternoon by the flash.

Friday 19th.

Waveney Area - 5 Snow Bunting on the beach at Kessingland + male Black Redstart north of the sluice. 2 Red Kite over North Quay retail park Lowestoft. Red Kite north over the A12 at Kessingland. Great Egret between Flixton - Homersfield in fields along the Waveney.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE continues to show at Hen Reedbeds amongst the Greylag Geese + male Hen Harrier noted.

North Warren - 3 Spoonbill north, nearby 2 Goosander (1 drake) on Thorpness Meare.

Trimley Marshes - 15 EWFG + single Tundra Bean Goose on the SWT reserve.

Stour Estuary - Female Greater Scaup off Mistley quay.

Capel St. Mary - Great Grey Shrike still along Old London Road though generally mobile and elusive.

Stowupland - A WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was seen NW over the village shortly after 09:00hrs. This bird is NOT from the Isle of Wight scheme.

Brecks - Cattle Egret still on Tuddenham Heath, near-by 11 EWFG still near Lackford village.

Thursday 18th.

Minsmere - Great Egret on the levels.

Benacre - Drake Greater Scaup still on the broad + Brambling seen in finch flock at Hill Farm.

Covehithe - Long-staying drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Reydon - TAIGA BEAN GOOSE still Hen Reedbeds.

Wednesday 17th.

Reydon - Adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE again Hen Reedbeds.

Minsmere - A Spoonbill was seen north over the north wall early morning.

Yoxford - Red Kite over A12 at 14:00hrs.

Iken - Female/1w male Black Redstart seen within the village at midday.

Chillesford - Red Kite over Chillesford Hill towards Hill Farm.

Capel - Great Grey Shrike still along Old London Road at 16:30hrs.

Stowmarket - An extremely early Cuckoo was reported singing near Combs this morning + Red Kite NE over Muntons.

Hadleigh - Red Kite over A1071 Coram Street at 13:05hrs + 2 Red Kite over the ton centre at 13:25hrs, near-by the Great Egret was still present at Kersey Mill (photo Bill Baston).

Brecks - The Cattle Egret continues to show distantly on Cavenham Heath (flash) + 2 Common Crane over.

Lakenheath - Drake Garganey still Lakenheath Fen RSPB.


Tuesday 16th.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull again over Gunton late afternoon.

Benacre - Single drake Greater Scaup still on the broad.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Saxmundham - 1w male Black Redstart seen off Beach Road estate car park briefly at 12:15hrs.

North Warren - Great Egret still present.

Ipswich - Red Kite NW over Stoke Park at 12:20hrs.

Needham Market - Red Kite over Pipps Ford.

Bentley - Great Grey Shrike still along Old London Road

Monday 15th.

Waveney Area - A WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was seen heading north over Waveney River Centre, Carlton at 10:22hrs being mobbed by a Red Kite and drifted off NW at 10:43hrs! What was presumably the same bird was then seen SW over Weston at 11:47hrs and then lost to view over Brampton at 11:55hrs as it continued it's journey SW.

Reydon - Adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE again reported from Hen Reedbeds. 20 EWFG on Reydon Marshes still + Red Kite over Smear Marshes.

Dunwich - Ringtail Hen Harrier north over the heath at 10:46hrs + 2 drake Velvet Scoter offshore.

Minsmere - Immature Iceland Gull present on East scrape at 15:35hrs then flew south + 1w Caspian Gull, redhead Smew, ring-tail Hen Harrier & Spoonbill seen around the reserve today.

North Warren - Swallow north over the heath + Red Kite west.

Hollesley - 20 EWFG still Hollesley Marsh RSPB.

Shingle Street - Red Kite over late morning.

Staverton - Garganey on Staverton Pools.

Trimley Marshes - Single Tundra Bean + 33 EWFG still present on the SWT reserve.

Stour Estuary - 36 EWFG still Cattawade Marshes.

Stutton - Ring-tail Hen Harrier east over the village at 10:20hrs.

Ipswich - Red Kites seen NW over the hospital + West over Christchurch Park. Shag again in the wet dock.

Crowfield - Red Kite over the village

Stowmarket - Red Kite north over Cedars hotel at 09:12hrs.

Brecks - 11 EWFG still by Lackford village + Great Egret by the flash on Cavenham Heath.

Haverhill - 2 EWFG still present at Meldham Wash.

Laakenheath - Garganey Lakenheath Fen RSPB.

Sunday 14th.

Benacre - 2 drake Greater Scaup still on the broad.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck continues to show well on the broad.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE was seen seen on Reydon Marshes + 32 EWFG.

Minsmere - 2 Great Egret on Is.mere.

Westleton - Ring-tail Hen Harrier over Westleton Common at 16:30hrs.

Aldringham - Raven south over the Parrot & Punchbowl public house at 09:20hrs.

Havergate - A 2cy Iceland Gull present on the island then flew north at 12:30hrs

Hollesley - 14 EWFG still Hollesley RSPB + 5 Water Pipit.

Stour Estuary - Sand Martin north over Brantham at 11:50hrs.

Kersey - Great Egret still downstream of Kersey Mill.

Stowmarket - 2 Raven over Stowupland Road at 10:20hrs.

Brecks - Both the Cattle and Great Egret seen by the flash of Cavenham Heath this afternoon.


Red Kites noted today over North Warren, Minsmere (Is.mere), Levington Marina, Kyson Point (Woodbridge), Smear Marshes (Reydon). Landseer Park (Ipswich), Barnby (Beccles), Barking, Mill Hill (Peasenhall), Elmsett and finally 2 bird over Sotterley.

Saturday 13th.

Minsmere - Redhead Smew still on south scrape.

North Warren - Great Egret on south marsh.

Hollesley - 16 EWFG Hollesley Marshes + 6 White Wagtail.

Stour Estuary - 34 EWFG on marshes near Cattawade.

Kersey - Great Egret again downstream from Kersey Mill.

Brecks - Both Cattle and Great Egret still Cavenham Flash, near-by 11 EWFG by Lackford village.

Friday 12th.

Waveney Area - Snow Bunting, LRP & White Wagtail seen the shore pools at Kessingland.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE was again present at Hen Reedbeds (photo Brian Small).

Middleton - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen between Middleton & Theberton at 16:40.

Sudbourne - Red Kite over the village.

Stour Estuary - 3 LRP at Cattawade Flash. Slav Grebe + Greater Scaup viewable from Mistley quay.

Needham Market - Great Egret at Pipps Ford + Red Kite over.

Brecks - 2 Cattle Egret Cavenham Flash, near-by a Sand Martin seen at Lackford Lakes SWT.

Thursday 11th.

Waveney Area - Iceland Gull flew west from North Beach at 16:45hrs towards Corton Road playing field. 

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE again on Reydon Marshes this afternoon though mobile, the bird appears to be associating with Greylag Geese, also single Pink-footed Goose and c69 EWFG present.

Minsmere - 2 Great Egret on the reserve.

Stour Estuary - LRP on the flash at Cattawade.

Ipswich - Shag still in the wet dock.

Kersey - Great Egret still near Kersey Mill.

Little Cornard - 19 EWFG still Shalford Marshes + 2 redhead Goosander & 2 Red Kite.

Wednesday 10th.

Reydon - The adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE was again rptd early afternoon from Hen Reedbeds, despite the report there was no sign of the bird this morning nor after this afternoon's report. 69 EWFG on Reydon Marsh + single Pink-footed Goose.

Walberswick - 4 Bewicks Swan west over Tinkers Marsh at 17:00hrs.

Ipswich - Adult Shag still in the wet dock opposite the Ark Museum.

Tuesday 9th.

Waveney Area - 24 Purple Sands between Ness Point and Links Road Lowestoft. 2 Hawfinch Sotterley Church this morning.

Southwold - 2 Water Pipit and 2 White Wagtail on Town Marsh + LRP.

Reydon - Spotted Redshank from the 1st hide pool at Hen Reedbeds + Red Kite over and an adult TAIGA BEAN GOOSE was noted this afternoon

Walberswick - c 62 EWFG along the south side of the Blyth.

Dunwich - 2 Common Crane flew West + 4 Velvet Scoter offshore. At Dingle Marshes, 4 Jack Snipe + 7 Twite noted.

Boyton - 4 Pink-footed Geese + single EWFG on Boyton Marshes + White Wagtail

Hollesley - 8 EWFG still Hollesley Marshes + 2 White Wagtails.

Higham - Great Egret again near Higham by the junction of Marsh Road and B1068.

Little Cornard - 19 EWFG still present at Shalford Meadow + Red Kite in the area.

Cavenham - Cattle Egret + Great Egret still Cavenham Flash, though no sign of the EWFG near-by from Lackford.

Monday 8th.

Waveney Area - Great Egret high NE over Lowestoft at 09:35hrs.

Benacre - 2 drake Greater Scaup still on the broad.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Hollesley - 2 Spoonbill still Hollesley Marsh RSPB + LRP, also 8 EWFG present.

Deben Estuary - Great Egret flew upriver having been seen in Falkenham Creek.

Felixstowe - Ringtail Hen Harrier rptd NW over Walton Avenue at 13:15hrs

Orwell Estuary - Slavonian Grebe noted off Chelmodiston.

Ipswich - Shag still in the wet dock.

Stour Estuary - Greater Scaup seen off Stutton Ness.

Bentley - No sign of the Great Grey Shrike along the Old London Road early afternoon.

Lackford - 11 EWFG still in meadows just outside of the village,

Little Cornard - 19 EWFG still Shalford Meadow.

Haverhill - 2 EWFG still on the ton's flood park.

Waveney Area - The juvenile Iceland Gull was again seen over Gunton late morning. Single Great Northern Diver noted offshore from Kessingland + many hundreds of Red-throated Diver. 6 Purple Sands at Ness Point + Shag near-by at Lake Lothing.

Dunwich - 3 Velvet Scoter amongst 65 Common Scoter viewable from the cliffs.

North Warren - c250 EWFG still on North Marsh + 2 Great Egret and a Common Crossbill over.

Hollesley - Great Egret on the winter flood at Hollesley Marsh + Little-ringed Plover & White Wagtail noted. 2 Spoonbill viewable from the viewing screen. c20 Common Crossbill on Upper Hollesley Common.

Ipswich - 2 Shag again in the wey dock opposite the Anglo Norden warehouse.

Stour Estuary - 2 Slavonian Grebe still off Stutton Ness + Greater Scaup. 34 EWFG near Cattawade.

Bentley - Great Grey Shrike again this morning at Bentley near footpath that crosses the road.

Elmsett - 2 Red Kite over the village late afternoon

Brecks - Both the Cattle Egret and Great Egret were present at Cavenham flash + 11 EWFG still b the road bridge viewable from the A1101.

Saturday 6th.

Waveney Area - 12 (twelve) Great Egrets left Carlton Marsh roost this morning + 5 Whooper Swan on the SWT reserve. Red Kite SW over Kessingland.

Benacre - 2 drake Greater Scaup still on the broad.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Ipswich - Shag still present within the wet dock on pontoon opposite the Anglo Norden building.

Stour Estuary - 3 Slav Grebe Stutton Ness + Greater Scaup

Waveney Area - 9 Common Crane high west over Kessingland dam at 11:14hrs, then over Mutford 11:17hrs and then over Ellough at 11:24hrs.

Benacre - 9 Common Crane high north over Benacre estate 11:10hrs.

Reydon - 9 Common Crane over St. Felix school at 10:36hrs.

Minsmere - Redhead Smew, 4 Whooper Swan + 3 Great Egret on the reserve, also 7 Bewick's Swan on the levels.

Alde Estuary - Spotted Redshank on the river by Snape Maltings.

Felixstowe - Firecrest on The Butts south of the pond late morning

Ipswich - Over-wintering Common Sand still by Bourne Bridge.

Gipping Valley - Single White-fronted Goose seen amongst Greylag Geese along Paper Mill Lane, Bramford (photo Keith Hudson).

Kersey - Great Egret still downstream from Kersey Mill.

Haverhill - 2 EWFG still Meldham Wash (West Town Park) Hanchett village

Thursday 4th.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull again over Gunton early morning and again this evening. Juvenile Iceland Gull flew over Kessingland community centre/school, near-by the fem/1w male Black Redstart still Heritage Green. 4+ Great Egret at dusk on Carlton Marshes SWT + 2 Spoonbill flew in from the east landed briefly on Peto's Marsh before heading off NE.

Benacre - 2 drake Greater Scaup on the broad.

Covehithe - Drake Long-tailed Duck still on the broad.

Minsmere - 3 Great Egret seen on the reserve.

Parham - Red Kite over the village.

Hollesley - 8 EWFG on the scrape at Hollesley Marsh RSPB + Water Pipit by the river.

Ipswich - Red Kite north over Belstead Brook Park at 11:58hrs.

Kersey - Great Egret still downstream from Kersey Mill

Haverhill - 2 EWFG with the Canada Geese flock on the fishing lake at West Town Park / Meldham Wash / Flood Control area this afternoon.

Wednesday 3rd.

Waveney Area - The fem/1 male Black Redstart still Heritage Green Kessingland. 21 Purple Sands at Ness Point.

Minsmere - 7 Bewicks & 4 Whooper Swan on Is.mere though no sign of the Greater Scaup.

Sizewell - Raven north then south at 13:00hrs.

Hollesley - Great Egret on flood north of the river mouth at Hollesley RSPB.

Little Cornard - 19 EWFG Shalford Meadow + 2 Great Egrets Henny Common.

Bures - Cattle Egret reported SSE of Sudbury at Bures this afternoon + 19 EWFG.

Tuesday 2nd.

Waveney Area - c18 Hawfinches seen around Sotterley church this afternoon. Fem/1w male Black Redstart still present at the Heritage Green Kessingland. 18 Purple Sands at Ness Point.

Benacre - c30 EWFG circled the broad before flying south + drake Greater Scaup still on the broad.

Covehithe - Long-staying drake Long-tailed Duck contains to show well on the broad + adult Caspian Gull noted.

Minsmere - 2 Whooper Swan on Island Mere.

Sizewell - Great Egret near the power station viewed from Nursery Covert at TM.468.642.

Aldeburgh - Red Kite seen from Sailors Way Hazelwood Marshes.

Shingle Street - Merlin seen at 16:20hrs.

Bredfield - Single Raven seen over the village.

Ipswich - 2 Shag seen again in the wet dock viewable from Anglo Norden

Stoke-by-Nayland - 2 Raven over early afternoon.

Waveney Area - Juvenile Iceland Gull SE over Gunton village at 17:05hrs. Female/1w male Black Redstart still Heritage Green Kessingland. 14 Whooper Swan still Barsham Marshes.

Bredfield - 3 Raven over the village today.

Kersey - Great Egret down stream from Kersey Mill near A1141.

Little Cornard - 2 Great Egrets again along the Stour (1 on Henny Common + 1 on Shalford Meadow).
